Nobody Lives by the Grid

Nobody Lives by the Grid is a beautiful new public art installation created by artists Ivan Morison and Heather Peak located within the Oakgrove community of Milton Keynes. The artwork features a series of striking bronze sculptures – The Witness and the Darling, The Stranger, The Tender Menace, and The Last to Leave – which were inspired by everyday forms and explore themes of community, ecology and imagination, while encouraging reflection on how public spaces can be shared and enjoyed.

Thanks to MK Culture I had the opportunity to document the installation and public opening of the work. Photography took place over a number of days and covered the construction process, public opening and also a parade by the local school who were involved in the shaping of the project.

It was wonderful to be able to capture the journey of the work, from physical construction, texture and detail, public interaction and its final resting place within the local park setting.

Nobody Lives by the Grid is located at Ouzel Valley Park, near Oakgrove, Milton Keynes.
