Music video imposter syndrome
Recently I’ve been working with Thousand Pieces on photography for his debut album but this was my first real foray into video something that, until now, has lurked on the sidelines wearing an extra large ‘imposter syndrome’ tee.
It was a bare bones project but the limitations fed into the simplistic, analogue vibe we were after. Two lights, one camera, a couple of hours with a backdrop in a rehearsal room, some low-fi in-camera effects, a little intuition and a modicum of blind hope.
Edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve which involved me utilising multicam and audio syncing across multiple takes and a near vertical learning curve but I loved the whole dam thing.
Here’re a few sample stills from the edit, unfortunately no BTS as my mind was elsewhere. Onwards and upwards… 🤘
